Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of SeenLabs digital signage services, software platforms, and hardware products ("Services"). This policy protects SeenLabs, our customers, and the public from harmful or illegal content displayed through our platform.

By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

2. Your Responsibilities

2.1 Content Ownership

You are solely responsible for:

• All content you create, upload, or display through the Services ("Your Content")
• Ensuring you have proper rights and licenses for Your Content
• The accuracy and legality of Your Content
• Compliance with all applicable laws in jurisdictions where content is displayed

2.2 Legal Compliance

You must comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

• Advertising and marketing laws
• Consumer protection regulations
• Industry-specific regulations (healthcare, alcohol, tobacco, etc.)
• Local signage ordinances
• Accessibility requirements (ADA, etc.)

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining confidentiality of account credentials
• All activity occurring under your account
• Promptly reporting unauthorized access

3. Prohibited Content

You may NOT use the Services to display, distribute, or promote content that:

3.1 Illegal Content

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Promotes illegal activities or substances
• Facilitates fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
• Infringes intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patent)

3.2 Harmful Content

• Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Attempts to damage, disable, or impair the Services
• Interferes with other users' access to the Services
• Collects user data without proper consent

3.3 Offensive Content

• Pornography or sexually explicit material
• Content depicting or promoting violence, abuse, or self-harm
• Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Content that harasses, bullies, or threatens individuals
• Graphic or disturbing imagery

3.4 Deceptive Content

• False or misleading advertising claims
• Impersonation of individuals or organizations
• Fake news or intentional misinformation
• Phishing or social engineering attempts
• Counterfeit goods promotion

3.5 Regulated Content

Content subject to special regulations requires compliance with all applicable laws:

• Alcohol: Age verification, jurisdiction restrictions
• Tobacco/Vaping: Advertising restrictions, health warnings
• Cannabis: State-by-state legality, advertising limitations
• Gambling: Licensing, age restrictions, jurisdictional compliance
• Pharmaceuticals: FDA regulations, prescription requirements
• Financial Services: Disclosure requirements, licensing

4. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT use the Services to:

4.1 Security Violations

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts
• Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities
• Circumvent authentication or security measures
• Intercept or monitor data without authorization

4.2 System Abuse

• Overload, flood, or crash the Services
• Use automated scripts that interfere with normal operation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Services

4.3 Misuse

• Resell or redistribute the Services without authorization
• Use the Services to compete with SeenLabs
• Falsify account information or impersonate others
• Use the Services for spam or unsolicited communications

5. Content Guidelines

5.1 Best Practices

We recommend that Your Content:

• Is appropriate for general public viewing
• Clearly identifies the advertiser or source
• Includes required disclosures and disclaimers
• Respects viewer experience (not overly intrusive or disruptive)
• Follows industry advertising standards (NAD, FTC guidelines)

5.2 Content Ratings

Consider the location and audience when displaying content:

5.3 Volume and Brightness

For displays with audio or high brightness:

• Comply with local noise ordinances
• Consider neighbor and community impact
• Follow building management guidelines
• Adjust brightness for ambient conditions

6. No Content Moderation

You are solely responsible for ensuring Your Content complies with this AUP and all applicable laws. SeenLabs:

• Does not review content before display
• Does not endorse or approve user content
• Is not liable for user content
• May review content only when violations are reported

7. Reporting Violations

7.1 How to Report

If you become aware of content that violates this AUP, report it to:

Include:

• Location of the content (URL, display location, etc.)
• Description of the violation
• Screenshots or evidence (if available)
• Your contact information

7.2 Investigation

Upon receiving a report, SeenLabs may:

• Investigate the alleged violation
• Contact the account holder for explanation
• Remove or disable access to violating content
• Suspend or terminate the account

We are not obligated to disclose investigation details or outcomes to reporters.

8. Enforcement

8.1 Violation Response

SeenLabs reserves the right to take any of the following actions for AUP violations:

8.2 Immediate Suspension

SeenLabs may immediately suspend your account without notice if:

• Content poses imminent legal liability
• Content threatens public safety
• Content causes reputational harm to SeenLabs
• Law enforcement requests

8.3 Termination

Repeated or severe violations result in permanent account termination. Upon termination:

• Access to Services is revoked immediately
• No refunds are provided for prepaid services
• Content may be deleted without recovery option
• Future account creation may be prohibited

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SeenLabs from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your Content
• Your violation of this AUP
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any claims that Your Content caused damage to a third party

10. Disclaimer

We provide a platform; we do not control or endorse user content. Any opinions, statements, or materials displayed through the Services are those of the users, not SeenLabs.

11. Changes to This Policy

SeenLabs may update this AUP at any time. We will notify users of material changes via:

• Email notification
• Notice within the Services
• Updated posting on our website

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
